Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Settling into the laid-back beach vibe of Torrance is easy when exploring the local scene. Of course, the easy-going vibe doesn’t ever impede quality. Madre, a local Mexican restaurant, features artisanal creations that are mouthwatering and leave patrons begging for more. This is a city to eat in, that’s for sure! For world-renowned Taiwanese food, the famous Din Tai Fung can’t be beaten. It has been awarded a Michelin star five times and counting.

Residents know good food should be paired with good shopping. The Del Amo Shopping Mall is the heart of Torrance’s fashion district. It’s the place to go to fill your bags with the best wares of the season. Once done and the three stories of the mall have been traversed, it’s an easy trip to Izakaya Hachi. Japanese gastropubs are a great place to get incredible food and relax with a drink in hand, and Izakaya Hachi is the town’s hit. It provides delectable fares with an easy-going vibe that goes perfectly with a drink in hand.

In Torrance, locals dance at nightclubs or have a family-friendly time at the bowling alley. It’s a city where everyone can find their place. Whether it’s a day at the beach, shopping at the mall, or enlightening the mind at the beloved Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation

Things To Do

Enjoy the highest quality produce and locally sourced foods at the Torrance Certified Farmers’ Market. It happens twice weekly and is a well-kept secret for obtaining fresh seafood. On a slow afternoon, locals often pursue the stalls while finding the best ingredients for that night’s dinner. Not every event in Torrance is as easy to catch as the twice-weekly farmers’ market. People come far and wide once a month for the Torrance Antique Street Fair. It’s the place to find the best decor for a new home or add character to a room.

On any day of the week, residents can enjoy some fun in the sun at Wilson Park. The vast greenery is full of volleyball and basketball courts, a place for tennis players and hockey roller players alike. Locals love to get their game on the fields of Wilson Park.

To cool off after an active day around Torrance, the Del Amo Shopping Mall has three stories of shops to entice locals. It’s one of the largest shopping malls in the United States, and it’s right in the backyard of Torrance’s residents.
